Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) drive ratio ?

does anybody know what the final drive ratio is on a 4x4 47RH in drive ?



and what is the Tcase ? 2. 72 is that in high range or is it different in low range?

First gear= 2. 45:1

Second gear= 1. 45:1

Third gear= 1. 00:1

Fourth gear= 0. 69:1

Those are the ratios for the transmission. The 2. 72:1 that you posted, is the ratio of the low range of the t-case. High range in the t-case is 1:1.

do you know the calculation to find your final drive ratio,Ibeleive I need to some how figure the tire size,axle ratio,trans ratio.

I am trying to figure out what I am runnin now and then again with new gearing.

IIRC, you multiply 1st gear ratio (2. 45) x 2. 72 from the t-case x rear diff ratio for "crawl ratio" for off roading. Would be 27. 32: 1 with 4. 10 gears and 23. 65:1 with 3. 55s.

so If I am in drive low range I wil be at a ratio of 2. 72?

Rod, I have a spread sheed at work that I will send you, enter tire size, rear end ratio and it calculates the wheel speed in 1stlow, 2ndlow, 3rd low, then give you 3rd high and ODHi, for 2500-4500 RPM.



Drive low range, is 2. 72 x your rear end ratio, then figure out your tire circumference in miles(lol), then convert engine RPM, to RPH(hour), and then go!
