Competition Drive shaft Loops Fianlly : )

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Competition mid michigan pull in ionia, need trucks

Competition ? about 4x4 launches...

Why not follow a good thing, so I kind of used the CSutton method Chris's are probably more road worthy as the bar that exstends and the loops are hanging on is round vise mine being square.

All I know is they meet the DHRA rule requirments 6" loops and I chose the 1/4" steel over the 3/8" aluminum.

You have done a very nice and neat job. Looks first class. Congratulations. Could you do it that way for a profit?

. . Preston. .

Excellent photo documentation.

Now what diameter tubing was that? Or did you bend it all?

I need to start planning the safety stuff for my 12v.

How is the u-joint shield attached to the rearend housing? I see the bolts, but do you have nuts welded to the snout of the housing or do they just tighten down and center it on there? BTW they look awesome! :D

Preston: I hardly had time to make these, heck I bought the pipe almost two years ago :D sorry, I wish, mybe I should retire :D

Gary: there aint room to be had unless I massage the down pipe which is prolly going to happen. I did move the small wastegate flex pipe outward though but did't help much.

Wade: 6"ID by 1/4" wall steel, heck if you were close enough I could give you close to 3' of it as I bought to much.

BWillard: The u-joint shield on the rear housing is the only piece I can't take credit for. I bought it through EE two years ago. It has 4 big set screws that tighten up on the housing and works great.

Thanks guy's,

Now to pick a color :D

Sweet BBD! Very nice fab job. The underside of your truck is clean as a whistle! What pump are you using for your air ride, by the way?

Thanks, I'll find some around here. Now I know what to look for. Thanks to NICK too--heck, he's probably got some and only 3 hours away.

Black, save perty colors for moving parts.

Nick, I am using two pumps, one for the bags, air horns, and filling tires etc... it a firestone pump I bought through a catologe when I bought the bags. Can't remeber what model but if your intrested I can dig up the cataloge. I am using a two gallon tank as well with that unit. The pump you can see in the picture of the drivshaft loops, is actully the ARB Pump, used just for the front and rear lockers.
