80% of the time if I go from Drive maybe even park to reverse then my rpm's lock and hang in high rpm then shifts like a shift kit. #@$%!

I have eventually figured out that if I punch the throttle it unlocks it. But I can feel a click in the pedal like something is hung - almost like a linkage hangs on a wire loom or something. Its hard to explain but after I punch it - it's good to go afterwards. Unless I go into reverse again.

Anyone know this one???

I read today in Issue 59 about an FCA...

This may have something to do with it. I'm at 195k miles with original injectors (as far as I know)... and this FCA might just be past the point of fruition.

Something is grabbing the TV cable and pulling it wide open that is what is causing the hard shifts and pulling the throttle open. The click you feel is the TV valve/cable/??? unlocking and allowing the throttle to come back down and idle.

It could be simply something jammed between the throttle valve lever and the shift lever on the outside of the trans or you have a valve body problem. The shift levers are on the driver side of the trans at the front. Have somebody shift it and see if tou can see what is happening.

Oh yeah, do this test without the engine running and be very careful how much you drive it until you get it fixed. Its not a very safe condition. ;)
