Archived Drive Train Trouble in College Station, TX

My son is having trouble shifting. Cannot get it in gear. Possible slave cylinder problem. Need mechanic or assistance in College Station, TX. Truck is a '96 2500 5 speed.

I'll bet its the pilot brg. , on my 96 it got so bad I had to shut eng. off to get it into gear, then it would go alright till I had to stop again.

same here my 96 did same thing pilot bearing started it in gear and could get going then bearing came completely apart and it seemed all right pulled it down as soon as possible and it wont mess up you're trans at least it didn't on mine

I blew the springs out of the clutch disk and one got lodged between the disk and the pressure plate.
