just wondering of a good shop in boise idaho for new u joints, carrier bearing and do a 3. 54 to 4. 10 gear swap or if someone out there wants the 3. 54 and would like to swap i will be here for 2 weeks to a month. I just tow to heavy with 34 tires to keep my gearing only 90k on my gears. also need a shop to get a new pac brake put on (4" pipe mount) thanks all

A couple of years ago I got some prices on a PacBrake from Driveline Service Of Boise (208) 377-8770. It is on Lemhi Street about two blocks southwest of Costco. I've never had work done there but I was impressed by their immaculate shop.

I've had major work done on two vehicles and less major work done on three vehicles by Glad's Repair. He is at 4640 1/2 Adams Street in Garden City (west Boise). He knows his stuff and has been completely honest with me. He, his two sons, and a grandson are the mechanics.

thanks guys i talked to glads reapair and they said go to jim. he gave me a fair price of 1400 to 1600 for both diffs and i will be going in on monday to get her done. I went to driveline serviece of boise and what a mistake after droping off for a estimate of 180 on some ujoints and then getting a bill for 500 i decided to look eleswere for gear work (not a good company for price, job was done right though) thanks for your help.

my gears were installed by jim at jim's drive line. what a great guy and wonderfull shop. it is so nice to get a bill for what they told you it would be, and not have to go back a bunch of times to get there mistakes fixed. i am very happy and would recomend him to anyone needing driveline work. thanks blue and tdr. so glad i joined this site and very happy with all the help i have recieved. hope i can return the favors and advice one day.
