Driveline play really bad on my dually

I took my new Dodge dually for a long ride yesterday and around 55mph the driveshaft or rearend play very excessive. Felt like a bad u-joint. Is this common on the duallys?I am taking It to the Dodge dealer tomorrow?I never had a truck that bad before. It might be a backlash adjustment maybe? :{

in 50K had replaced 2 u joints, transmission yoke c/w seal & had rear diff rebuilt. If DC built the driveline to match the engine life would be very good indeed

you won't feel the diff backlash at a constent speed. you will feel the play when you get off the throttle and back on it. in the lower gears you can really feel it [quickly let off and back on the throttle]

If it's a 4x4 it's normal transfer case play.

It a two wheel drive one ton dually 6 speed diesel. I have been around trucks all my life and never had one this bad.
