Okay, I've been on the TDR for almost 2 months, and this is my first post. Has anyone had their driver's seat back mechanism replaced on the power seat option?
I took mine into the dealer about 3 months ago, because under braking, I felt the seat back moving forward. I would reach back and the whole seat back would move a good 1 or so. They replaced the seat back mechanism, and it is back to doing it again.

I can't say I have experienced that yet. I have the power leather seats and have had no problems, except that they mounted my seats in crooked. The drivers seat bracket (below the power seat buttons) is almost an inch further back than the opposite passenger side. To much to correct by just loosening bolts and readjusting. I can feel it when I drive, and you can see it when looking in the drivers side door. The seat just looks crooked. This is the only seat complaint I have. Pretty much my only complaint period. Can they just replace your drivers seat entirely or do they have to mickey mouse it for awhile? Good Luck! #ad

Sounds like the backrest chuck is a deeper problem. I'd hate to have it. I'd take it back again and demand a new seat. That's a problem that you won't be able to fix yourself. I design seats for Toyota.

If you think you can correct it by yourself, I'd give it a try. If you think it's iffy, I think I'd leave it alone if I could live with it. If you take it to the 5* idiots they will probably create another problem whether or not they are even able to fix the first one.

I've got the leather power seats, and mine seems to have a "clunk" in it when moving fore-aft. It can be felt more than heard, and doesn't seem to present any other effects, and the seat still moves through it's full travel. As for now, I'm going to just "watch" the problem. I won't take it to any dumbass dealers cause I'm convinced that they purposely screw crap up on the premise of job security. You know, so you have to have them fix something else. They're all dumbasses in my eyes.
