The upper right corner of door (when looking at a closed door from outside the truck) is hitting the door frame. I noticed the bushings were shot so I just replaced the door pins and bushings. This has now allowed the door to miss the frame by a hair but still not "aligned" correctly. I checked the door skin and truck body and there are NO cracks - in facts it looks very solid and straight. Why is my door sagging and is there a way to adjust? Are the hinges slotted to adjust if loosened? Can I add spacers to lower hinge to swing door over slightly? Maybe another wear part I am missing?

thanks in advance
Mike

Back when I had my 89 W250 I tried to rebuild the door hinges and was stuck with what you have right now. I finally just replaced the whole assembly. There is adjustment slots on the hinges it's a bit of a pain but it can be done. I went through 3 sets of hinges over the 11 years and half a million miles that I owned the truck. Granted it was a work truck and the door was used very heavily. Biggest pain was getting to the bolts under the fender. Those are the ones you need to loosen to adjust or replace the hinge.

There are a number of ways the door can be tweaked to fit with out loosening the hinges,a socket can be placed between the hinge and door then gently push the door till the correct amount of adjustment has been made.going down the production line if a door did not fit right there was no time to move hinges

Well I loosened the hinges and was able to make some adjustments - was a real pain to get aligned once it was loose - probably a better way...BUT I GOT IT. Closes like new!!
