Ok, TDR.... I need your expertise. Over the last few months I have noticed the odd small poor of water on the drivers floor board or a few drops of water on the grab handle when I get in the truck. I had never been able to see a leak or feel anything damp.

This Saturday I was pulling the Gooseneck livestock trailer to the university to pick up our bull.... it was raining... I observed several instances where I had a small stream of water coming out of the top bolt on the grab handle!

I couldn't feel anything wet on the headliner again. I got home, pulled off the AC pillar... damp around the well for the top bolt hole only. I dropped the sun visor and pulled the headliner down enough to see it was dry by all the cab lights and antenna. Only moisture or evidence of moisture I could find was in the very top corner of the drivers side of the windshield. I coukd see where water followed the airbag around and dropped it into the top bolt hole well on the grab handle.

Thinking now I have a small leak around the windshield itself...

1) anyone else have a similar experience who can point me in the direction they used?

2) is sealing around the windshield a big deal?

I just rolled over 40k, so sadly I am out of warranty.

Do you have a sunroof on your truck? I had a 2006 MegaCab with a sunroof and would get the identical leaks. Turns out it was the little drain tubes for the sunroof that regularly clog or the exit ends begin hardening. Cleaned out the tubes and fixed the drain ends and all leaks stopped. Only if you have sunroof - otherwise ????

If you have the clearance lights on top of the cab, that typically is where the leak is. Or, it could be from the 3rd brake light on the rear of the cab.

It could be the clearance lights possibly... I pulled the hood liner enough and can see no water staining along the edge or at all towards the clearance lights

I had water coming in at the grab handle and the visor clip. My oem lights were leaking. It seemed to me that the water dosnt soak into the liner but runs over it easily....
I replaced all clearance lights with the updated one that Genos sells, i 'purtied' my rig by using the 4th gen ones! :D

My '06 had a single instance of a leak like this but on the passenger side. It happened last week and I haven't had a chance to check it out. I suspected the cause was a sun roof drain issue. That's what I'll look for first.
