Drivers seat heat light flashing??

When I start my truck the drivers side seat heat switch light flashes, turns off if I push on the switch for a few seconds, I have no idea what the deal with this is????? Have not seen this discussed before, Thanks in advance for the response info. 06 Laramie

The flashing is a self diagnostic tool built into the system. Do a search on my name and open the thread "2006 MegaCab Driver Seat Heater".

This thread has a chart that should help you target the problem.



I tried to just append the chart but couldn't because I'd already posted it once and don't know how to reference it now.

Mine did the same thing look under your seat you will see a plug make sure it is fully inserted. My kids stick there feet under the seat and have pulled the plug apart before. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies! I got under the seat and checked all, unplugged and cleaned and reconnected and NO light flashing and works as new! Easy fix and lucky
