2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Driveshaft turns, truck won't move....

I put it in gear and I can see the rear driveshaft turn, but the truck won't move... . no noise... nothing... What should I expect when I pull off the rear cover... . tell me it just needs servicing... Yea, right.

Not good. Did you hear it go bang? You either broke your ring, pinion, or something in your carrier. I cannot remember if your limited slip has a cross pin or not. A thrown cross pin would be the best case, as long as it didn't cause and more damage. Good luck. Your going to need it.

Time to upgrade to an 80

pinion shaft sheared clean behind the bearing... its keeping it from dropping on the ground but no gears engaging... seen it one time before... messes with your mind looking under the rig watching the driveline spin and no nasty sounds coming out.
