Here recently i was driving my 1995 ctd 4x4 down the interstate round 70 mph. At this speed the universial on the back of the rear driveshaft lost a cap due to the fact it was spinning in the yoke and wore the little tab off that is supposed to hold the cap in. However this isn't my problem. When the cap flew off and the horrific vibriation came about it cracked the adapter housing between the transmission and the transfer case. Has anyone ever heard of this happening because of a bad u-joint or should i look deeper for another problem. And does anyone know where i can get an adapter housing cheap and possibly a new yoke for on the rearend of the truck. Thanks for all your input. S Washabaugh.

If you're talking about the rear housing on the transmission yep, all the time. There is a cast steel out now but I prefer the aluminum one.

Yep thats wat i'm talkin bout. I found a factory one for $285. Like to find a used one but i need it back together. Thanks for the Input.
