Has anyone found a light, preferably driving which will fit in the stock hole openings in the front of the truck? The factory ones do not appear to be very bright so I would like an aftermarket one with a little more power. What type of bulb is in the factory setup? Can it be upgraded?... CJ

If i rember correctly, PIAA makes a few differet lights that fit in the round holes. They must have a website, give it a try, All there lights are super high quality and VERY bright. I have there 520 round fogs on my outland sport guard. Very happy with them

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the PIAA lights that fit the factory hole only come in a fog pattern. PIAA products are always #1 when it comes to quality, but the price is usually #1 too. The PIAA lights to fit the factory hole (I think they are 519's) are around $200.

CATZ make a light to fit the factory hole. I think they are around ~$120 for a pair, and I think they come in fog and driving pattterns.

Hella makes a very affordable option which comes in a driving pattern only, the Optilux 1300. These are 55w bulbs and are only ~$60 for a pair.

I think with any of these upgrades you will need to fabricate a new bracket, or buy the PIAA bracket for around $25.

I hope this helps,
Ryan

The PIAA Dual Sport 900 lights (Super White driving/Ion Crystal fog) fit very nicely in the rectangular openings in the bumper. "Scott1" was the first to do this... in his '98. 5 back in Sept. of '99. I purchased a pair shortly thereafter however, I still have yet to mount them. #ad

Next lighting project: add a set of PIAA 1500XT (Ion Crystal fog pattern) for backup lights.

I have the PIAA 1253's I think(the clear ones). Fit nice and do a good job of lighting things up. Also get "bright-lighted" quite a bit.

Call FET (the company that makes CATZ lights) talk to Cherie Morgan. She has some pretty awesome lights (both head lights and fog/driving lights). Just tell her that you are part of the TDR and she will cut you a good price. If you need her number, e-mail me. . I'd be more then happy to send it to you.

Thanks
