A friend has been trying to find the source of trouble on his driving lights on a 2001 sport. There is power to the relay and the relay is working. There is no power at the bulb sockets. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced this problem? Maybe narrow this search down a little. Also could this be a ground problem? Didn't find any TSB's online so i'm guessing this is not a widespread problem. Thanks for any input.

If the relay is working & sending juice toward the lights, it sounds as though there is a break in the circuit between the relay & the lights- either a broken or cut wire or a faulty connection. Trace the wire & see what you find.

driving lights

had the same problem traced it out and there was a connector on the driversside before the light that was corroded up. cleaned it up and they worked fine.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If it is factory wiring, there should be 12v. at the lights all time. The light switch switches the neg. side of the circuit. Don't know about driving lights but with fog lights, the relay only turns the lights off when you switch to high beams. bg
