I just got around to looking at some driving lights i have and would like any input as to where and how anyone has mounted theirs. i have a 98. 5 witht he factory fog lights. I have seen them in lots of places but would like some help. i would also not be opposed to replacing the factory lights. Thanks Dave

I bought a set of PIAA 520's and realised, it is virtually impossible to mount any large fog lights on the front bumber since hte grill is so close. I bought SmittyBilts "Outland sport" bumper guard which mounts using exsisting holes so you dont have to drill anything. It only comes as high as the front bumper, it does not wrap around the headlights or anything. It has mounting holes for up to 6 lights already spaced and drilled. Took about 30 minutes to install and looks great and i have more then enough places to mount my lights now.

I mounted my Daylighters on my bumper with some easy to make brackets. I took a small piece of steel plate, and drilled 2 holes in it. And bolted it to the bumper and the light. I drilled holes in the bumper and plastic cover. These mounts are stronger than they look. They went through a car, and didnt get bent. Cant say that about the rest of the truck.
