drone at idle/Air filter housing update?

I posted earlier about a neighbors 03 h. o. with 40k on it already. His only comment was a change in noise at idle. Like a drone or rpm fluctuation. Well today i saw him at lunch. Said took into a dealer and asked about this. SAID d. c. was aware of this and was working on a new NON restrictive air cleaner housing. Said a update was forthcoming.
