No, not that kind... ... ha

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went to put a new block heater in the 12 valve tonight. The little nut on the back side of the old heater plug fell down into the block. I fished for it with a magnet for about an hour. I give up. What can it hurt?? I dont see it being a big problem but I thought I would ask here before I fired it back up. What should I do????

Thanks!!

Don't you just hate it when something like that happens?

I don't see how any damage can be done. It is in the water jacket and probably wedged in the bottom where it would take quite a flow to move it.

I can't imagine it ever getting into the water pump or anywhere else where it could cause a problem.

I agree with Howard, if it fell down into the water jacket I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. The water pump is the only moving part and the nut probably isn't big enough to restrict coolant flow and cause a hot spot.
