Need some help guys and girls. It’s a 2nd gen 2500 4x4 auto. Dropped the rear driveshaft. Pretty certain it’s a Dana 70 rear. It lunched the u joint and probably galled the yoke.

Since the parts are no longer there, can you please tell me which u joint and yoke do I need? I THINK I need a spicer 1410.

Also, besides a new strap kit (ha ha) is there anything holding the u joint on? Any more clips than the 4 c clips? Any other brackets or hardware?

Is the yoke supposed to have a more
pronounced lip than what’s here?

The middle part of the driveshaft near the boot has a much more pronounced lip that the c clips obviously ride on.

One side has a tab that holds even a failed u joint cap in place.

I hope these pics help. Part numbers or links would be AMAZING. I have been looking for a long time to try to ascertain which one exactly before I go loading the parts cannon since there are so many variants

Thank you so much

That yoke needs to be replaced, it's gone. Replace the seal ring at the same time.
High possibility that the ears at the driveshaft itself are also damaged, if it dropped it is bent anyways now - means new driveshaft it needs.
Strap and bolt is everything that holds the u-joint within the yoke.
The strap should always be replaced with the u-joint as it is a more precise part then it looks like. It's shape and bend is exactly so to clamp the endcap to the yoke - just enough to not damage the endcap.

https://torqueking.com/ should have everything you need and excellent customer support - contact them, call, email, and they will give you exactly what you need, no guesswork involved.
Not the cheapest but best.

Other than I never cared for the MoPar "straps" that secure the joint to the yoke. Probably 15 years ago? I bought a new u-bolt kit for a Ford DANA 70, drilled out the bolt holes on my yoke and they went in with little resistance. Just a bit of a nut I guess.

Never had a problem with the straps on my 5.9 GC.
Problem with the u-bolt kit is you can overtorque them, the straps not.
That's why I recommended to get new straps everytime you replace a u-joint.

Makes sense to get new straps when changing u-joints for sure.
