Getting ready to install a set of Dodge OEM marker lights on Son's 04. 5 2500 CTD. Appears to be a straightforward job once the headliner is dropped.

Question is - How difficult is it to drop the Headliner. Any special tools needed?

Have seen the many comments about leaks with these marker lamps. Was thinking of adding some good butyl sealant around the roof holes on the install to head off any potential problems. Comments or better ideas?

Piece of cake. Did it on my '05 while running wires for gauge pod and XM antenna wire. Remove 2 screws in the sun visors. Then in the map lights there are 2 more screws. You need to carefully pry the clear lenses out to get at the screws. There may be another screw or 2 you need to remove but you'll see them. After that, you should be able to move it down enough to do what you need to. The hardest part (or most nerve wracking) was prying the lenses out without breaking them.
