On first look the EGR brake kit is about the same. I converted my rear (that sounds bad) to egr about a yr ago and am glad to be rid of the weak drum to frt disc balance. Now my frt pads match the rear as far as wear and that indicates to me the front/rear brake force is more balanced. Little brake dust on the front compared to the stock drums... and no more annoying drum adjust every 3k miles. Parking brakes need to be adjusted and some people have poor results with that item. I've towed some with the egr setup so I'll still be looking at mileage on those.

I appreciate your alls input. I look forward to get rid of the drums as I feel they do not provide any stopping force. Also, does anyone know what years of newer rims fit on a 98 2wd 2500. And I would be curious to see if anyone has pics of a 2nd generation truck with 3rd generation wheels to see how they look.
