An easier and cheaper alternative would be going to a truck parts store and buy a generic 3 light unit. Then attach it to the bed between the tail gate and the rear bumper. It would be out of the way and wouldn't require unplugging when you need to remove your tail gate.

Just a thought mind you.

I bought the Mopar light and harness for my louvered tailgate for my DRW. You would have to splice if there isn't an existing plug as there is in the drws. It wasn't cheap.

Hey,

I want to add the mopar light from the DRW to my SRW. I found the parts. It looks like it requires at least four or five holes to be drilled. Does anybody have any info on installing one of these on a SRW truck??

Thanks!

I did that on a '98 1500 I had and never really did like it... . just didn't look the same..... I also want to put the factory lights on my 2500.....

Generics

Just a note on generics, I put the over heads on another truck and they rotted out in in about 5-6 years. My current OEM's on the Ram are still as good as new after aftyer nearly 8 years on the road. You get what ya pay for.

havent done the install yet but got all the parts from dodge about 75. 00 bucks, will post as soon as install is done. the factory harness does not have the pigtail on srw trucks so im going to use the four pin connector on the backside of the hitch.

Cool, let me know what happens JDerbedrossian. Does anybody know if adding this will interfere with the "lamp out" sensors that everybody talks about?
