I have found a restraunt who will supply me with oil but they tell me it has detergents and water in it from washing the friers. I know the water block filter will take out the water on the DSE system but what about the detergents ??? Also do you have to keep an eye on the PH of the oil like you do Bio-fuel ??? Thanks ahead of time.

water and stuff

wow thats a good one

heres what you need to do,if you settle the oil the water will go to the bottom also the other stuff that mixes with the water will go down also water and oil will not mix together

this takes time it can take up to 3 weeks to what I call break add heat from the sun and it takes less time and cold weather and will it might take all winter.

filtering oil takes a long time also you can't just pass it thru a 5 micron filter and your done trust me on this.

if you want to dewater and filter your oil in one step the only way is to centrifuge the oil , this will take care of the water and filter the oil at the same time

the water blocks that dse says to use will stop the water but they also stop the flow of oil this is not what you want i use water blocks as the last filter on the pumping of the fuel after the centrifuge only to get any thing left not as the only way of blocking the water.

if you need help you can call me at 406-672-6853 mountain time zone

Dewatering

Heating the oil up will also dewater it. If you heat it up to just below boiling it will get out any water that might be in it. :)

Be careful with the DSE method as it doesnt get the junk out of the oil, also the DSE method has you add gasoline to the oil which act as a solvent to your cylinder walls, not as a lubricant like diesel is.
