Archived DSRB III scanning for problems!!!!

Has anyone had to use the DSRB III scanner for problems and found that that it was, or not able to and that it provided a viris for doing so while down loading the info ?????? Does the palm pilot work for scanning for problems in the ECM/PCM ??? Was told that it didn't and today that it does it is an other 16+ hr drive for more usless info for nothing if this is so :-{} thanks.

Scanner

You have to have a Dedec to read engine codes unless there is a check engine light on or it may tell you to go to service manual for specific codes that the pcm stores. If it stars out with a p1,it is specific to engine and if it starts with p0,it's a pcm code.
