dss and which plow frame ?

Looks like i will need a plow for my truck next winter. I want to buy it before the winter rush. I have a darins steering brace that i need to keep on. I will be buying new and fisher seems to be the most common and curtis is also available locally. Seems like the darins is in the way for the fisher setup and would need to cut the push frame or the darins? Does anyone have a curtis with a dss? Or does another brand of plow bolt with the dss?

I have a Solid Steel DSS with an '05 BOSS plow and it does fit... although the install on the DSS was a PITA with the plow frame hanging there. Can't wait to see how a lift kit will fit in there as well. :-laf

I have a Meyer plow setup and they work well together... no modifications necessary.

Comparing a Curtis to a Fisher is like comparing a high school linebacker to the Patriot's Mike Vrabel.



The Fisher is an ultra duty snowplow.

Just do yourself a favor, and look at how HD the Blizzards are. I use the plow mounts as the jack point for my 01...
