Has anyone made there own steering stabilizer? I might just buy the DSS one but I could also weld one up too:rolleyes:

The price and quality, plus fit and finish of the DSS makes it almost pointless to go thru the drill of making yer own - Piers usually has them in stock, and can ship immediately... ;)

Just buy the DSS one,,sure you could make one,,but it's pointless,,the quality and low price of the DSS unit makes it so it's not even worth the time you would lose makinng your own. .

I just bolted one on my 96 duallie 4x4. . and it took care of a dangerous wobbling problllem i have been chasing for over a year. .

Send DSS a cheque quick,,,annd throw that stabilizer on as soon as it arrives,,,you'll never believe the difference it makes,,,unbelievable difference,,trucks drive better than new,,,no more wandering all over the road,,,you can kiss off the rope annd pully steering that our truckks drive like from Dodge. .

For about $150. 00,,you can't beat it,,and the life you save could be your own,,The death wobble will get somebody someday. .

Good luck

John, you can buy the DSS from Rip at sourceautomotive . As the others have said it would be pointless, you may save a little but not much. I am still getting use to mine, my steering is so sensitive now that I catch myself trying to over correct when I dont need to. One SWEET setup and worth every penny, if I would of known when I bought my truck I would of had one put on the moment I drive off the lot. When you order make sure you have a 1-1/4" deep well socket and the 1 5/16" if not I can get them for you.
