Archived DT track bar

Just installed a Dt on a buddys truck. The steering is tight and everything looks good. But When he turns to the right everthing is fine. When he turns left, he has to turn the wheel about 8 inches before the truck will turn. I dont see why it is doing this when the only thing I changed was the track bar. When I did the installation on my truck everything went perfect. Is the axle that far out of align? Thanks for your help.
