Here are some info.
The last test step leads to ECM replacement.
No experience.

The chances of it being the ECM are slim to none. Most likely the wiring and connectors including ECM pins. Unless the code is active all the time the diagnostic will always lead to the module as the last step.

The ECM is considered DEAD if it fails to see it's 5V power supply shorted to ground.

I get it occassionally, but I,m pretty sure its tied into my Powermax box.

We're ot of town RV'g & this P0336 code came up. Based upon other blogs, I pulled the 2A fuse to my Banks Ottomind Tuner. After cycling the ignition a dozen times or more, the CEL went out. This morning it's back up.

$64,000 question; what are chances engine will STOP on our 250miles return home around Chicago?

I have seen many p0336 caused by the Banks box and others as well that t into the crank sensor.Disconnect tne add on wires and see what happens.
