I am getting a full dtt with 89% HR converter, and a billet input shaft. Will I see a milage differnce. Milage is a bummer with my 4x4 3500. I get 14-15 now with mixed driving empty.

I got the same set up your getting, can't say that I've seen MPG improvements. But then again my driving style may have something to do with it... ... . :D I get 16/17 mixed but mine is a 2WD

Mine were set up "firm" at my request but they are far from violent. I took it the the drag strip after I got it done and to my amazement with everything set on kill it chirpt the tires on the 2/3 shift... ... ... ... all three runs! On 1/2 take your pick, smoke show and chip or just a chirp, depending on lauch style!:D

I was kinda thinking that 14-15 was in the range for a 3500 4x4 automatic, assuming mixed mileage and not hiway only.

In general 2x4 gets better than 4x4, manual better than auto, 2500 better than 3500, 3. 55 better than 4. 10, std cab better than quad cab, flats better than mountains etc.

Short of 4. 10 gears that pretty much the worst combination. Dont know about terrain your in.

For the most part 2x4, manual, std cab, 2500, 3. 55, living in the flats maybe 18 range for mixed.

Me I typically average 16. 5 for mostly city with some highway. 50/50 mix is about 17. 5-18. Hiway is 20. I have gotten 21. 5 when I kept it under 70 most the way. but that has only happened once.

I got significant gains when I DTTed my '97. I even got almost 21 mpg on one 500-mile stretch with 1000-lbs. in the bed! And this is with a 4x4, auto with fueling mods and oversize tires.

I agree, I don't think your mileage is too bad for your truck.

I did not notice any difference in mileage going from stock to my DTT transmission. Highway driving is the same (locked up in OD) so there is nothing to gain there. I thought I might pick up a little in the city. If I did it was not enough for me to notice a difference between the variations in tanks of fuel.

Bummer I need to save 4k in fuel. . :{

I do get alot of secound gear starts now and it is really slushy. So I am hopeing for some.
