Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) DTT band adjustment?

It seems like I have forgotten something. I have checked the front right band adjustment and it is still set at 1/4". After that I draw a blank. What else do I need to check?

Not sure what you mean by "1/4""??? The length has nothing to do with the band adjustments. Both adjusters are set by use of a torque wrench.

It's a trick used by Inarush76. Rather than going by torque, you place a 1/4" allen wrench under the arm and snug the adjuster against it.

I cant remember the actual verbage, but it was hand tight and then back off two turns as long as a 1/4" allen wrench would be used as athe gage.

There are two bands that need to be checked. One is accessed under the pan and the other is up on the side of the transmission. I don't have my DTT paperwork with me now, but its got good pictures and such. I belive the DTT forum has the directions on it too.

72 inch/lbs then back off something like 1 turn or maybe 1 7/8. I forget and it changed for when the 48RE came out.
