ok let me try to explain what i belive is going on,i was told by a diesel spec. that plugging in the grey six- gun tcc wire to the trans wire harness(orange wire w/ lt blue stripe)would set of the ecm's code (i think it was #?)sorry cant remember, anyhow it meant the overdrive selinoid was "bad". but w/o tee-taping the tcc wire the six-gun throws a 4-2 code saying theres to much tc slipage. i was then told that the only way to fix it is to get a tc that has more slip. ,and thats out of the ques. any resonable thoughts?---LA

Did you try it? Did you get codes?

What DTT pieces do you have that would take control of the TC lockup?

If whatever controler does maintain resistance between 10 ohms and 100 ohms on the TCC lockup feed to the ECU, the ECU thinks the lockup solenoid has failed. Thats normal and the controller must take that into account.

Reading too much TC slip and wanting a looser TC is, well, counter productive. That said, the ECU not seeing enough rpm drop on lockup from a tighter TC is a more common problem, and, I THINK there is a resistor that will address that bit can't remember for sure.

What exactly does the Banks piece do with the TC lockup wire?

I'm guessing it's the same as my Big Hoss Tuner which is a transmission saver feature. The system de-fuels between shifts but once lock-up is acheived, the system would again apply the extra fuel and power.

I'd be surprised if it wouldn't work with a DTT, but I'm no expert on it.

I just installed a banks six gun and I cannot shift into overdrive. I took it off this morning and I still have the same problem. How can I get overdrive back?? (without the six gun)
