I got a call from Laser Bob { Performance Diesel Transmissions, LLC. } that my DTT parts have arrived and we scheduled the install for this weekend. I can't wait till Sunday gets here so I can drive my revamped truck with the DTT stuff. By the way so you know, Laser Bob is the guy in Colorado who is doing the DTT installs. If you know someone interested he is the man to contact.

Mike L. :D :D :D

Mike...

First off... congrats. You will love the DTT stuff.

Though one question? What make you swing away from ATS?

Kev

I guess that the majority rules. It seems that the DTT stuff has proven to be very successful for most folks. I guess I'm old school and stick with known proven things with customers who are not afraid to speak about the success they have had with a certain product. In the future I may be steered other ways as I plan on getting a new truck when they come out in the new body style and the more powerful engine with the automatic. It is common knowledge that with any Dodge transmission it's the luck of the draw if you get a good one or not so the new transmission on the new truck doesn't really matter to me. I plan on keeping my current truck for a hot rod in the future. Nothing like smokin those little jap cars. It just freaks those kids out. :D

Give ATS some time. They are the new guys on the block, so to speak. Once thier products and services have proven them selves to the TDR members the majority may be saying something different. Congrats on the new transmission. You will enjoy it. Anything is better than a stock transmission.

StakeMan,

Don't take me wrong. I'm not knocking anything. It'll be great over the next few months to hear how you guys brave enough to step away from the pack and try something different are doing. Thats what it's all about. At this time it's just not for me. I'm sure everyone here is interested in learning about different products and then making their own choices as to what fits their need.

Mike

Trust me Mike... you won't be sorry you jumped over to the DTT side of trannies...

Not to mention having Bob work on your truck. Bob is an awesome guy and does great work. I would recommend him to anybody out our way. .

Make sure you tell us what you think about your setup.

Stakeman, First off, I'm happy that you are enjoying your new transmission.

No I'm not trying to start a pi$$'n match at all. . just giving my personal opinion.

Kev

(Guys. . I edited this post cause even though Don and I have issues... I was wrong to post it, I was just venting on what happened)

No need to get your feathers ruffled, K_Arts. I have nothing against DTT or any of the transmission manufacturers. Everyone has to decide what suits thier needs best.

(edited because it doesn't make and sense now. hehe )

I am not trying to start a ******* match either. I was saying congrats on the new transmission!

Kevin, I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. That is not what I have had in talking to ATS at all.

mlockner, repect for another man's position is paramount on here or it should be. I wish you the best with your choice and know you will not be disappointed with your decision. DTT has great products and customer service, that is undeniable, and your reasons for not trying something else is understandable. IMO people like StakeMan and myself are looking for that "extra" that the traditional system is not providing. To each his own,

Don't worry Charles, I don't have my feathers ruffled at all. I was just expressing my experience with them... . and no it wasn't pleasant. The least Don could have done was introduce himself to me before he started going off in a tangant... but that's ok. Life goes on!!!

Maybe he misunderstood me when that first thread started about their stuff. . maybe I misunderstood him... that's the bad things about thread is that you really can't express emotions. . just plain text... if that makes sense.
