DTT is Racing in Bremerton WA

We will have our 67 camaro (496ci injected alcohol) at Bremerton Raceway on the Weekend of June 15th. Saturday and Sunday. If anyone wants to come by that would be cool. It is always great meeting all you guys. Sorry for the short notice but I just finalized it. Let us know if this date works for ya.

Hey Stefan, is Bremerton a oval track or road course. I can't seem to remember and I lived near Bremerton for almost two years. Is that Camaro done already. It was in pieces when I was there in April. I might have to show up for that.

You don't see many oval track cars with alcohol/injection!!

That car is a beast. Last I heard, Stefan was capable of sub 8 second 1/4's.

Guys,



The car is a chromoly(spelling ?) chassis with a fiberglass/carbonfiber body. It should be going in for paint next week. The cool thing about the car is my dad (Bill K) built the entire thing. He even made his own struts, 4 link, chassis, everything and it runs straight as an arrow. We are taking it out tomorrow (sunday) to get the throttle stop set-up for super gas. That is the class that we will normally be running which has a 9. 90 index, but we also run doorslammer which is a class for full bodied car with 2 working door, and you must run quicker than 8. 99 in order to qualify. We are going to Bremerton to test the car and get any remaining bugs out.



Jeff, I drive the car and Dad does the wrenching, but I think that he is ready to quit on me.



It should run approx. 8. 60 @ 154-156mph.



Chipstein, the car is a drag car. I think the track is at an emergency airport in bremerton.

Stefan, I didn't realize Bill did that sort of stuff! Is it a full tube car, back half or what? Tell your dad to chime in here, I won't ask any transmission questions

There aren't too many full-frame NON-tube chassis cars out there that run 8. 60's..... I would be lead to believe that a full fiberglass/carbon fiber bodied car would be a full tube chassis, not just back-halved... . I could be wrong.



I can't even begin to imagine what sub 9-secs. feels like... .

I wish I had checked this forum before Saturday! I didn't have the time to get over to Bremerton however, I could have found the few minutes it takes to get to S. I. R. (P. I. R. now... Pacific International Raceway). Oh well, a day late and a dollar short... as always.



I hope the car ran ok for ya!



I guess the easiest thing for me to do is just make the trip to Abbotsford.
