which converter do you guys prefere ? 89, 90, 91 ? this will be installed with the valve body & deep trans as well. Motor mods will include edge comp+, jardine 4", bd brake, & big *** napa filter. Gauges of course. The truck is a 2002 auto w/ 410"s running 35"s. Thanks in advance

proflow,

Don't ask us, ask Bill K. He will want to know about your truck and how you are going to use it. Then he will recommend which of his TCs is the one for you. The man knows what he is talking about!!

Actually Stephen at DTT recomended an 89% for my set-up, just wondering what the differences were & how they affected everyones elses set-up. Forgot to add in my post that I purchased the smart controller also. Seems you guy"s were right on the money with DTT, nothing but a pleasure to deal with & great info also. three thumbs up

The biggest difference is the stall, and the 89 is the best for my truck. The 91,and 93 are a hair tighter, giving you more smoke, and bogging out of the hole, but a little more power to the ground once under way. Its a trade off compromise either way, just like bigger turbo, the one that rocks on the top end is soft out of the hole.

DTT

I talked to Stephen last week trying to find someone who can do the deal with my transmission and he recommended the 89 for mine if I sayed under 350 or so, I told him I had been talking to piers and he laughed and said I would be at a low power settting long. He also stated he had a 24V that made around 500 H. P. and had a 91 in it.

I've driven a 91, and it was nice. A little too slow off the line though, but awesome once you got going. I would probably go with the 89 since I only intend to bomb mildly once I get a decent trans. Go with what they recommend. JMO

Yo proflow!

Hey proflow, I see you live close to me (Buckley, WA... I live in Enumclaw)... I have a DTT 93% TC and custom DTT VB (for the 93% TC) installed in my '98. 5 Ram. Maybe we can get together sometime for a test drive (although it probably won't work this week... my lift pump just died... instead of changing it again it's time to complete Operation Infinite Fuel Delivery).

If Bill (or Stefan) recommended the DTT 89% TC I'm assuming you are going to be towing and/or hauling near the GCVWR... correct?

I'll tell you one thing, you can't beat a DTT modified transmission! :)
