Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) DTT Transmission ?

Could someone explain what a DTT trans. is and where i could get one?

Call them and tell them where you are and they will get you in touch with a dealer.

If you want confidence make sure you use a "certified" installer. I've had mine in for almost a year and with several trips back to the installer (local dealer transmission tech) I'm still not confident it's acting the way it should. I've given up at this point and if I'm ever within 1000 miles of the pros (DTT) I'll just take it to them. At this point I've just learned to deal with it.

Yes, of course. The point I'm trying to make is to use someone Bill has trained. If problems or questions should arise it's easier for him to talk to someone that's on the same page and that's where my problem lies I think. The installer either didn't get it or just thought he knew everything there was to know about the 47re and Bill couldn't teach him any different and was doing what he thought was best. Frustrating for both myself and DTT.

Yep,like they said call them and they will give you the closest shop two you. They will only refer you to shop that they know is trained with there tranys. They might not have one real close to were you live but it will be worth it I look forward to the day i get my transmission upgraded

That is our only option here in Alaska..... there are three shops up here that have done DTT's work. I have been to two of them and I can not say I am happy with either.



I do have to say that the guy who did Double J's transmission did mine and it took him two weeks to solve a problem because he would not listen to bill. .





To DTT's credit they worked patiently with the installer and me, the transmission is holding up great and it works good. I just feel I am missing something in the set up that only a DTT certified installer can do.



Double J - how about we borrow a tralier and load mine up and you pull us both down to Bill's... . I want to go sturgeon fishing anyway...
