Since I have an Amsoil dual bypass filter kit just laying around I was wondering if it can be used with two full flow filters? Is the extra filtering worth the cost of two filters? Can the filter replacement miles be extended? and finally... . Would it effect the oil pressure at all?

TIA

Nathan

You would need an adaptor to use 2 full flow filters with it since a full flow and a bypass use different threads. Also the amsoil dual bypass filter mount has a special valve that diverts only a small amount at at a time to the bypass filter and more to the full flow filter so that mounting system is not suited for two full flow filters.

I really dont see a need to have 2 full flow filters anyhow. When not using a bypass setup you would not want to go much more then 5k between oil changes and at that interval, your regular full flow filter would not be clogged anywhere near the point of making 2 full flows worth while. Just keep your stock filter where it is if you are not going to put a bypass filter on there anyhow

edmunddiesel is right

its only a slip stream for further filtering wit a lesser micron, I think its 2 micron but dont quote me on that. Also Most slip stream applications use a 10 % slip, we use them alot at the plant and they work great, IE; if they get plugged it aint no big deal , you then have 100 % flow thru your OEM filtering system. :) ... ... .....
