DOES ANY BODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH A FRONT AXLE DUAL CALIPER CONVERSION ON THE 1999 2500 4WD A-1 CARDONE Part Number: A118B4745MFR#: 18B4745A1 CARDONE FRICTION CHOICE, REMANUFACTURED BRAKE CALIPER WITH INSTALLATION HARDWARE, FRONT LEFT, WITH CALIPER MOUNTING BRACKET, PADS SOLD SEPARATELY -- Original Equipment Quality, Direct Fit, Replacement Brake Caliper, Includes Caliper And

look like a dual piston caliper to fit the 1999-2002 truck front axle

or is there other front brakes upgrades thanks garrett

I am doing this swap, BUT I am swapping in a complete 2002 non-CAD axle in my truck. AFAIK the Calipers/ Rotors will not work on the 95-99 knuckles, and I do know for fact that the late knuckles are not interchangeable with the early ones.

3rd Gen Front Brakes

I thought I read that someone had swapped in 3rd gen front brakes into a

2nd gen and said it was a bolt up deal. I don't remember if was on a 2wd or

4wd.

i did the 3rd gen brakes on the 2nd gen axle it is a driect bolt on if you have the newer 2nd gen axle i think is the 2000 up axle the one with 2 piston caipers i actuall think the calipers are the same between late 2nd gen and 3rd gen trucks it is just the caliper mounting bracket moves the caliper out for the bigger roter and then you have to run 17" wheels

I hate to ask but what is a non-CAD axle? I have a 99 2500 and have been thinking of changing the axle out with a 2000 or newer so I can have locking hubs. I have looked at conversion kits but so far none that will work on a 99 with 4-wheel ABS
