I'm looking very seriously into getting a dual disk clutch. I've never done one before, so that rasies a few questions. Is it nessicary to upgrade to the 1 3/8 input shaft? How hard is the shaft to install (I've never liked the idea of taking my transmission apart!)? And how hard is the clutch itself to install? Thanks guys

The clutch install is not difficult in itself, very similar to a standard clutch install. The imput shaft install is also a very straight forward install however the mainshaft of the transmission should have the endplay reset with shims after it is complete. If you don't know what I'm talking about this is probably a job best left to a transmission shop. It's not time consuming, a transmission guy could probably do it in less than an hour if you took the trans to him but it should be done right.

If you would like to tackle the project yourself I have the NV4500 section of the factory service manual in a .pdf format I could send to you, if I havn't already.
