There's a trans house here that a buddy of mine gets all of his trans parts from. They manufactur converters in house and offer a Dual disk, Heavy duty converter with a pretty good warranty. I'm curious if anyone has used something similar to that.

So far we've got the list started w/ an upgraded drum to hold an extra clutch and steel.

TransGo shift improver (shift kit, improver whatever you want to call it, includes 2nd gear lockup mods)

New Solenoids w/ wiring. (just because)

HD clutches (cant remember brand name off hand)

Upgraded overdrive (replaces either plastic or aluminum with steel in the OD unit, cant remember)

All new thrust's

Deep pan

What else should I look for here? Not going to upgrade shafts.

Planned mods: 0 plate, injectors (Something similar to 370's but not actually 370's), 3K gsk, Delivery valves, trying to decide which turbo to cool the 370's, timing to 15. 5ish)

Any suggestions?

who is this place you are talking about? And then I had a dual disk in mine with a kit in the valve body ect and it took two year with one 1/2 years turned up stock and then just a #5 TST plate before I busted the input shaft and filled up the convertor with chunks after the convertor broke and wouldn't losk up going down the road.

If you really want it to be good especially with what you want to do to it call HTS Transmissions they are just outside of Grand Rapids he call tell you what you need and want.

Dave Goerend rates his single disk to 500hp. Sounds like more than enough and he's got a great warranty and the best customer of any company I've used or read about on these forums.

One question please ask them if they own Phd converters! As far as i know they only make a single disk! And i thought transgo only offers lock up in 3rd and 4th?

I can help you with the delivery valves Let me know, i live right around your area.
