Got the dual feed line from industrial and it leaked, so i put thread tape on the threads and it fixed it for 3 weeks. last Sat. on the dyno the tape blew and made a mess, pull the fitting tape it back up and it lasted 4 days, thought i could smell diesel on the way home from work,,, pull in the drive and what a mess, truck got a good bath.

before i get hammered on the tape thing i read on here somewhere that fuel will eat the tape after i already did mine so is there any solution??

Do not use any tape of any kind as these fitting do not require it. Call II and tell them your problem. BTW which fitting is leaking, the rail or pump?

you might try some loctite thread sealant until you find a more permanent solution.

The fitting are high pressure fittings that require metal to metal contact. On the fittings to the dual lines, the rail side fitting "crushes" against the base of the rail creating a seal. At 15-25k of pressure, you blow by just about most sealants but not all. A few aviation sealents will due but run about 100. 00 per tube of just a few ounces.

hmm go for the platnum. JP. But seriously why is a bottle of permatex Sleeve retainer or locktite so dern expensive? pipe threads are tapered couldn't you try tightening down more to seal better or What did industrial injection says?

I called I. I. but it was just after 5, guess i'll just tape it up again this morning as its blocking my driveway. if I. I. would have sent the original fitting for the cp3 i would just remove the line and cap it but it came with a plastic cup in it.

Which fitting is the one leaking... ... If it is the the rail fitting, tighten it till it makes contact and then add 20-30 degress more just don't over do it. I know the same thing happened to me but you have to do the above. As for the pump fitting, you may need a new one.

The sealent I am talking about is for aviation. Which means it is FAA approved. Which means you get shafted. Just to give you an example. The same v-band clamp I use on exhaust systems runas about 40 bucks. THE EXACT same clamp that is FAA approved runs 140 dollars. Funny HUH.

Mine leaked and they sent more fittings twice ... still leaked... I put a crushable copper washer in there and it stopped the problem.

It was a washer from an injector nozzel...

Kinda ticked me off I could not get the leak sealed... Mine was leak in at the fuel rail / dual feed connection... .

II was stand up about sending additional parts UPS next day air... but could not figure out why it was leakin... .

Food for thought... the replacement line had rusty bits in it... that would not be good for the injectors... . I called II and advised them of my findings...
