Tailgate open sensor.. GM truck

OK, need some advice here from you guys who know.
Last week I borrowed a trailer from my brother to bring home a load of fertilizer. The trailer I borrowed has dual wheels. Before I left on my trip I checked the air pressure on the trailer tires and of course they needed air. I couldn't get to the inner valve stems so I had to dismount the outer tire so I could access the valve stem on the inner wheel.
What type of valve stem extension would you recommend for this setup. Below is a picture of the trailer wheels with the oil filled hub cap.

Hoefler,
I can't even reach my fingers through the rim to unscrew the cap on the inner valve stem. The air hose extension is not an option.

if they properly indexed the rims upon installation all you need is a standard dual chuck long reach inflator valve and truck tire gage.. I had more issues with valve stem extenders than I did with manually checking the tires by fishing a gage thru the handhole in the rim.. .

I think the OP's issue is the hand holes are too small for his hands to fit and remove the valve cap.

I use a piece of 3/8 or 5/16 rubber fuel line on a piece of brake line tubing to push over the cap and unscrew the cap. The brake line keeps the rubber line straight, and also allows you to push the cap out if needed. The cap stays in the the rubber fuel line, and makes it easy to re-install.

technically I have extenders on my truck valves.
those short little metal style that screw on in place of the rubber caps.
I wasn't thinking about not being able to reach them, which might explain his predicament.

I've tried the longer hoses that clip on the rim, but had poor luck with them.
at my job they installed those automatic inflators on our vehicles
plumb the tires to the air system...
and we had more issues with the auto inflator system than we ever had with tires. :)

so stuff its hard to improve upon.

Flow through extenders have been used for years with great success. I always use metal stems on my duals, so no worries about stress from extenders. There are all kinds of different metal stems, with different angle and bends, for any wheel combo as well. The trailer manufacturer always cheap out when it comes to tires.
