Ok, I have a couple of decisions I need help with. First for a dually it seems like I have really only 1 choice for 19. 5" rims and that is rickson. The Budniks seem to be perpetually 4-6 weeks away from availability. I have done some calculations and I think I want to go 225/70s since that is the closest to stock and I already have 3. 73's don't want to go taller. So here are my decisions.

Do I need a spare? A steel spare with a matching tire mounted. balanced shipped... $570

Steel or Aluminum? Rickson requires the use of the inner rear to be a steel anyway? So with Aluminum I can't rotate without remounting, steel on inner rear and only polished on one side. Difference in price is about $400-500 total.

How much to sell the stock wheels and tires for, 7k miles? I would be keeping the center caps and the spare, maybe the spare?

Answers anyone?

I have been waiting on the budnik wheels also. I am going to wait some more b/c I want the lightweight of aluminum and ability to rotate if I want to. I am looking at putting a Bridgestone 724F 245's or maybe michelin XDE-MS. I know it will be worth it to wait but man its getting harder everyday. :)

Seems odd that you'd have to run steel inners on the rear, if that were the case I would probably run all steel...

For SRW, I have a set of 5 wheels, 1 new tire (mounted/balanced = my old spare) and 3 bald tires (retreads!) 245/70/17's, LR H... very good condition if anyone is interested.

It is silly that budnik even advertises these wheels. If you talk to them, they don't even have the materials to make them yet. So the 4-6 weeks thing is BS. I would love for Alcoa to make something, but I don't think they ever will. I had once assumed that they made 19. 5 for Ford and Chevy 1 tons, but they don't, they only make 450/550 type trucks which are way different. There is also another maker of 19. 5 aluminum wheels for a Dodge that I found. Shindle Engineering, they are $900 a piece. So unless something changes, which I doubt, since budnik has had 10 years to make these and never have, 94 and up dually dodges are the same, I am thinking that suprisingly Rickson is the cheapest route.
