Dually bed vs reg bed

I am looking for bed parts.

How much damage is done to the bed if I remove the dually fenders?

Basically I found a dually bed... . and don't need a dually bed.

The wheel well cut outs are larger and higher on the dually bed.



It will bolt on in place of a SRW bed.

How would it look on a standard truck?

You might be able to install fender flares that would cover any difference in cutout size.

The dually cutouts are about 3" higher into the body line and the wheel opening from front to back is bigger.



The few 1st gens I have seen the dually fenders removed and used on a SRW setup didn't look right. The opening is to large with the flairs off.

Bringing an old post back to life here. What about for someone going the other way with this. Single wheel to dual?? Possible? What would it take, and has anyone done it?

Its possible. You would probably have to swap axles and wheels plus modify your fenders.

Yeah i kinda knew about the axle and wheels!! I was really just wondering if the dually fenders would work on a SRW Bed

They should after you cut the fenders.

You would need some way to mount them. The dually bed has a rather large flange bent into the sheet metal of the bed side to support the flair. Just cutting an arch into a SRW bed side is not going to do much good if you can't support the dually flair.
