Something broke and is now screeching inside the right side.

I know I have to remove axles to get to everything. Looks similar to jobs I have done on older floater axles.

Is there anything that is a must replace while I am in there? Anyone have part numbers for the following:

Drums
E brake with spring kit
Seals

I get to do this asap after hernia surgery next week. Fun times ahead.

In looking at the rockauto site there are different measurements for the shoes....... This is what I was trying to avoid, but I guess I will have to tear apart and then buy parts.

Prices looked decent there. Have not shopped around yet.

Got it all done this weekend. 4hrs one side, 3hrs the other. The large spring made no sense at all to get back in there. Had to get extremely creative on that one.

The brake material actually fell off the shoe and got all ground up on the pass side. Drivers side looked good, but I do things in pairs.
I see that the e brake is not self adjusting. I thought that was a bit odd too?

One last question................... How in the world do you adjust the drivers side? I ended up adjusting as the drum went on, but now I have no way of getting the plug back in?

I have a brake adjusting tool, but that was not going to work. Even a long screwdriver could not angle in there the correct way? I would really like to get the plug back in its home, but I don't see how?

I think I ended up using a little silicone grease and a pair of angled needle nose, and finally got P-Oed and jammed it in. I did get it back where it belonged, but not the way you would like to be able to do it.

I recently changed my rotors and adjusted the parking brakes with the rotors off. Put them back on and turned them. Did that a couple times till I could feel the shoes start to make

contact. Was easier than going thru the rubber plug deal.
