Dually mileage?

For you guys with 4. 10, auto duallys, what kind of mileage you getting when not towing once broken in?

3. 73 gets 11 when not towing (18000 miles)

When I last checked it (road trip over Thanksgiving) I got 16 mpg. That was a combination though of highway miles and "running around town". Mostly highway though, 55-70 mph. I also cheated by using the figures from my transfer flow monitor which shows how many gallons are in each tank. Either way, 16 mpg is about what I've gotten in the past using other means to calculate. My truck has 20k on it and has been pulling a 5er since around 500 miles, so its broken in. When towing, I get about 12. 5 mpg. If I remember right, our 5er only weighs about 10k. Can't be much more as the truck gives me the ole "is this all you got" :-laf Hope this helps you out.

Does that take returned fuel into account?

WOW, I'm glad I got a manual! I have an 05 with 3. 73 and 6speed and I have averaged 20. 6 mixed driving over the last 3200 miles. This is with the truck computer, figuring by hand I have avereaged 20. 7!

My 2006 Automatic diesel Dodge does good so far

I drove 350 miles with the car trailer and a car in the trailer and got 15 running 65 and 70 most of the time comming back home with empty trailer got 17. 6 running 70 about all the way. Lots of mountains driving . I am please and hopes that hold up. Having a automatic for the first time I like it. My truck Is stock all the way and has 5500 miles on it now.

I'm on first tank so I'll see when I fill up next. Computer shows 15. 6 but I really don't trust it yet, too soon (only 450 miles on truck).

I see 16-17 mpg (hand calc) in mixed driving. That's wide open freeway in the morning and crawling at night. Thirty miles each way 5 days a week. By the way, computer indicates 20-21 mpg. If I set the cruise at 65 mph, the overhead will read 24 mpg after about 20 miles of driving. I figure it's actually getting about 20-21 mpg. Not bad for a 4. 10 auto.
