Competition Canadian Diesel Shootout - August 10th

Off Roading 06 CTD Electric or manual transfer case?

It was pretty cold out 2 weeks ago, so instead of my usual ATV adventure, I tried taking the Dually out onto the ATV trails. For a 9000 pound truck, it can wheel pretty well.

Parked the truck in an open field and bush-wacked up to the top of a mountain just in time to see the 19th Special Forces jump out of C17's.

BUMP! I'm taking the Dually to Moab this coming weekend. I'm curious to see how I do in that terrain with the BFG MT KM2 tires. .

becarefull down there. Maybe you can catch air from the arch down there like the video thats gone viral on you tube.

Getting rocks stuck between the tires sucks big time. At first, I used to jack up the axle and lossen the lugs to dislodge the mini boulder. Now I wrap a chain around the rock, attach it to the frame and slowly back up. Ya, I'll damage the body one day but I ain't taking no more stupid tires off.

I've been there. The last time this happened to me, the rock was like 8 inches in diameter; it was wedged so tight that I couldn't get the lugs off, so instead I went to work with a hammer (for about an hour) and broke it apart piece by piece.

You need an onboard air compressor. Drop the tires down to pull the rock out and then fill the tires back up again.

Your blog is pretty cool. I spend days in there reading and watching your videos.
