And the wide "hips" made it through some pretty tight spots! Quite the achievement and team work! Just proves what power has been into these trucks. Most don't touch that type of use with our trucks and shows that they're built to last! :D

I think it's pretty incredible, I would never do it, but that's a different story. Lots of underbody, suspension, and other upgrades proved they could do it.

I actually 4-wheeled my former 09 Ram 4500 crew cab with 11ft bed. Not even close to the extreme 4 wheeling presented and no mods, just carefull maneuvering and going slow. Sometimes, 4wd is more than just slick roads.

I'm still blown away. Thanks for posting.

Cheers, Ron

IMO, it is a silly thing to do....even if money is no object....because honestly, if you don't care about damage....you can get a lot of vehicles through seemingly extreme offroad situations, so I don't find it very impressive when an improperly equipped vehicle makes it through with frequent winching and considerable damage. I must just be a offroad snob! :D I also wonder how many other trail users were inconvenienced by their experiment.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it was necessarily a 'bad' thing to do (unless it significantly slowed down others on the trail) I just don't think it proved anything worthwhile (kind of like a tug-o-war)....which I think was their goal.

I certainly hope none of the carnage to that truck was unexpected.

You could say the same thing about all the Jeeps, Broncos, and even Range Rovers that go there. The answer is because I want to see if it can be done.

My philosophy...use the right tool for the job. Typically Jeeps, Bronco and Range Rovers are built and intended to go there. It is akin to hooking a 15,000 lb trailer to a Jeep.....just to see if it can.

If he built that for serious rock crawling, he did it wrong. My guess, he never would have done it if it wasn't to be filmed and put on Youtube.
