ANyone have an idea of somehwere to get a full width dually rear? I guess the last owner blew the rearend up and bought the first he could find as this truck is definitely not a cab and chassis, or maybe he traded it out for the narrow one when he put the flat bed on it. Either way I need a full width one if you know of anyone wanting the narrow one send them my way.

There are none if these in wrecking yards here.

I always thought it was a 60 but I guess it maybe a 70. I can get a meausrement of what I need it to be bigger than that is all the help I can give ya. I know it misses clearing the inside duals because they rub the bed by less than 1 ".

Z you better do a little research. The SRW is the narrowest axle made. The C&C axle is about 6" wider. The dually axle is 12' wider than the SRW.

If you try a set of duals on a SRW axle. The inner dual will lockup solid against the springs.

I am talking for a Dana 80 for second gen this is where I may have screwed up. I originally was thinking he was talking about the second gen. I have a SRW and a C&C Dana 80. The wheel mounting surface on the C&C is about 2 inches narrower overall than the SRW. The SRW and C&C use the same length axles shafts the cc just has a huge offest drum. If you picture the cab and chassis there are no innner wheel liners I know my cc axle put the tires closer to everything. I have the Cab and Chassis in the truck now and I can barely get a wrench between the brake backing plate and the ladder bar mounts.

Check the width on some older motor homes. The gassers had 4. 11 or higher. Also you could use the axle from on older Chevy Camper special. They are Dana 70 HD and have stouter bearings than the Dodge setup. If it is Dana, you can swap the r/p for your ratio. Both are usually quite cheap. You would have to change the spring perches, backing plates (for the correct ebrake cable) and perhaps the yoke. A little harder on the Chevy since the brake drums and related are very different from the Dodge.

Not sure on the 2nd gen widths zstroken. I know they changed the wheel offset on the duals in 94. Which most likely changed the axle width.

My 90 has a Ford dually axle in it. That may help broaden your search options. I also know of a guy in Sikeston that is parting out a 93 W350- I can give him a call and see what he wants for his axle.

zstroken- If you want to swap that D80 C&C, let me know.

Yeah man see if that guy has the right rear for me I'll trade him or sell/trade anyone my C& C rear once I get a new one. Sikeston would be a good trip for me I love Lambert's.

zstroken- I was wanting to trade my pickup 80 for a C&C 80, but OTOH, everything works as it should, so I might ought to leave well enough alone. i just dont like the C&C bed with the duals sticking out past it a little.

Sikeston is 130mi south of St Louis.
