This past weekend I raced in the annual truck nationals at Moroso Motorsports Park. Myself and three friend's ( all with dodge diesel's ) representing Lujan Motor Sports of Miami had the quickest trucks in the diesel class.
Big Dog Diesel (tdr member) cranked out a 12. 99 @ over 111 mph. (the truck has been 113) in less than favorable 100 F weather. This is a 2001 full weight dually on the stock radials. Willie of Lujan Motorsports in his 98 12 valve laid down a 13. 50 @ 104 mph. I also had my personal best a 13. 90 @ 102 mph with a less than favorable 2. 40 60 ft. And last but not least ( actually placed second in the event ) Enrique in his 98. 5 24 V stock transmission truck ( with shifting problems ) ran a 14. 51 @ 97 mph.
All 24 V trucks were running Edge Comp boxes, various injectors etc. I had a great time ( despite the heat ) I thought it was great that the fastest diesel trucks were all Cummins powered Dodge's. Thanks again Willie for all the help with tuning and letting us wear out your shop dyno.
Oo.
