Nitto Tire - High Performance Tires for Car and Truck Enthusiasts

I have an 05 dually. The stock ameritrac's have been 42K. They do not look bald, but are getting some cracks in them. I am afraid they are going to start turning loose of the tread. I have oreder a set of goodyear silent armor pro grade tires. I compared them to the nitto durra grapplers and decided on the goodyear because they have a little more aggressive tread. I should be getting the new tires this week and will know more about them then.

Got the goodyears mounted today. The drive home was smooth and not much more noise than the stock tires. They look good. I will know more in about 40 to 50K more miles.

I put Michelin LTX M/S's on mine. Very quiet and smooth. Have close to 20k on them... still look new. They are more of a highway tread though, if you want something aggressive they arent.

I managed to get 60k out of my Mastercraft tires ( Cooper ). No complaints and they have a 50k treadlife warranty. I just replaced them with Hankook. Only have 7k on them so far. These are all road tires.

I have the Durra Grapplers on my 2007 Dullie 4X4 and I love them. Quiet on the road and excellent traction off road. They work great in the Sand as well with out having to be aired down. I put the 305/70/17 on mine. 34 inches over all in height. I used 2 inch spacers also to keep the tires from rubbing on each other in the rear. Have about 12k on them now and they still look like new. I have them mounted on the XD Rock Star Rims. Looks Killer.

Have over 100k on my Michelin LTX/ MS's, most of that pulling very heavy and all kinds of weather. Going to go with them again when its time to replace. Don't see why I can't get another 20k out of these though. :)

Both front tires with the original Ameritracs bulged in the tread area. Looked like they were about to separate at about 40K miles. The rears were down to the wear bars so I bought 6 Firestone Transforce HTs. These are hiway treads.

And the last trip it looks like my mileage increased 1-1. 5 mile to the gallon.

I've run GY GSA's (came with truck), General Ameritrac TR's, and now Firestone Transforce AT's. The Firestone have been the longest wearing of them all. Got 35K out of the GY but they all cracked on the sidewalls, the Generals I only got 25k out of before they wore out completely, and I have 40k with the Firestones and they should be good for another 20k.

I didn't buy Michelins because I wanted/needed a more agressive off road tire.

All tires were the stock 235/80R17 size.
