Competition Duals on a Single Wheel box...like the mods do?

Didn't know how else to word that question. Just wondering how all the Mod trucks can run either a set of dual tires or a single wheel setup all at the same time having a standard single wheel box? I am not wanting to run this at all but I am just curious how they are setup or make it work.

They have a narrowed rearend. Check out haisley's site, click on the "rock hard ram" they show some pretty good picturs of there setup and build.
